Referee Information

Maitland Oztag is always encouraging people to join our sport and to become an Official Oztag Referee. No previous experience is necessary and all training is provided.

Referees are paid for the games they ref and there are representative pathways on offer similar to those the players have.

From a domestic level referees can progress to state (Junior and Senior State Cups) and National (The Australian Championships (Oztag’s premier event) tournaments and perhaps one day referee at an international tournament.

Refereeing is a great way to earn some extra pocket money, meet new people and stay fit and healthy while doing it.

3. DOWNLOAD AND COMPLETE THE 20 QUESTIONNAIRE (Answers are in the rule book).

Please be advised that Maitland Oztag will only take on New Referees that complete the Questionnaire and all new referees are encouraged to attend an Australian Oztag OR Maitland Official Referee Course.
